Celebrating the International Women’s Day at Cabrini Center in Dzaipi, Uganda
On the 10th of March, our sisters in Uganda had the privilege of celebrating a remarkable day, the International women’s day, with the women from the eight new groups of the Human Promotion Project. Each woman graced the occasion in a beautiful, colorful dress, radiating the joy of meeting one another and showcasing the incredible value of being a woman.
The celebration began with a heartfelt moment of prayer and reflection. The sisters together with the women gathered to thank God for the precious gift of being life-givers, acknowledging the strength and beauty inherent in womanhood. Following the prayer, they listened to several empowering speeches. These words of encouragement were centered around the theme of women's empowerment and unity, inspiring everyone to embrace their identities and potential fully.
Each group showcased their unique cultural heritage through dance and music, bringing forth the beauty of their tribe's movements, sounds, and joyful shouts. These performances were not only entertaining but also a poignant reminder of the diversity of human culture.
The sisters had organized a variety of games, including balloon races, egg-and-spoon challenges, and musical chairs. These activities brought laughter and excitement, with small prizes awarded to the winners. It was a delightful way of engaging everyone.
As the celebration drew to a close, they shared soft drinks and delicious cookies, symbolizing the unity and warmth that had enveloped them throughout the day. This simple act of sharing highlighted the deeper human desire to relate, create communion, and communicate with one another.
“The true magic of the entire celebration settled down the integration of the tribes. It was a day of joy, unity, and empowerment, leaving a lasting impression on all who participated.”
