GBV Prevention Sessions at St. Philips and Sibetsaphi Primary School, Eswatini
In a commendable effort to combat Gender-Based Violence (GBV), the GBV team from Cabrini Ministries, Eswatini organized significant prevention sessions. These events took place at two primary schools, St. Philips and Sibetsaphi, and was a collaborative initiative involving various community stakeholders.

The GBV team led in organizing the session and extended an invitation to the Big Bend Police Officers who provided valuable insights into the legal aspects of GBV and the importance of reporting incidents. We also invited one of our nurses from our clinic who contributed by sharing health-related information and the impact of GBV on physical and mental well-being.
The primary goal of the session was to raise awareness and educate young students on the prevention of Gender-Based Violence. By targeting primary school students, the initiative aimed to instill a culture of respect and non-violence from a young age. These sessions were well-received by both students and staff, with many expressing a newfound understanding of GBV. Moving forward, Cabrini Ministries plans to conduct similar sessions in other schools and communities, working closely with local organizations to foster a safer and more informed society.
