Over a hundred years ago, Mother Cabrini was already a vigilant advocate for immigrants with a compassionate heart. For that reason, she was declared universal Patroness of Immigrants by Pope Pius XII. Today, the Cabrinian Family all over the world diligently seeks to be faithful to church and charism in caring for immigrants, those that are being traffic, the elderly and those most vulnerable in new and creative ways.

Sustained by undaunted courage, Mother Cabrini created from nothing schools, hospitals, and orphanages for the myriad of penniless immigrants who ventured into the new world in search of work.
