We bring the love of Jesus

to the ends of the Earth

Lent is a 40-day season of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving that begins on Ash Wednesday and ends on Holy Thursday. It is a period of preparation with prayer, doing charity work and deepening on loving others and serving with compassion towards all humanity to celebrate the Lord’s Resurrection at Easter. During Lent, we seek the Lord in prayer by reading Sacred Scripture; by serving our brothers and sisters not only by giving money but by giving our time, talent and most important by showing our love towards them. And we practice self-control through fasting. We are called not only to abstain from luxuries during Lent, but to a true inner conversion and repentance of heart as we seek to follow Christ’s will more faithfully.
Lent is a time of seeing the love of Jesus in action for all humanity. It is a time that helps us to see how much we are loved, forgiven, and accepted and welcomed. At the same time being invited to grow in holiness. Lent is a time in which the Love of Christ urges us to strive to imitate him in loving, forgiving and learning from Jesus. Lent is a time of being in his hands, heart and serving my brothers and sisters with compassion and love.
Lent is a time of seeing God’s fortitude, courage, perseverance in challenges and difficulties for the sake of all humanity. Lent is a time of gratitude for Jesus because He has ransomed us by pouring his precious blood. Lent is a time of seeing his patience, his silence his becoming powerless in front of his creatures. Lent is a time we learn a lot from Jesus his abandonment of his will to the will of his father and letting go of his own will by saying Let your will be done not mine. Lent is a time of expectation with hope to celebrate his resurrection in which He has conquered death.
